For sale here is a San Francisco era R.L. Winston bamboo rod - 8 1/2' with two sections and two tips with a labeled weight of 4 5/8 oz. Serial no. 8506. Excellent+ original condition with the exception of the reel seat which was replaced by Glenn Brackett. The prior reel seat was gold anodized (see here). All sections are full length and straight.

Straw colored cane with bronze wraps and burgundy tipping at the winding check and signature wrap. The script remains clean and bold. The tips are numbered for convenience. Ring hook keeper. Handsome bakelite winding check. The full wells grip measures 6" in length with mild soiling. The ferrule fit is good. Actual weight is 4.75 oz. The medium-fast action is best suited for a six weight line. Includes the original bag and tube with label 85% intact.
