A Ron Kusse Baby Catskill bamboo fly rod, 6', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #1 line. The hang tag states that this is a prototype with a weight of approximately 1 ounce (my scale has it a touch closer to 1.5). Mint uncast condition. Slower action. Wheatstraw color cane done in a three up node pattern configuration. Excellent varnish. The main wraps are light yellow with red edges a the keeper, ferrule, and tip tops. A snake guide is used to replace the stripper like the Leonard Catskill series. The ferrules are a very small truncated variety. The grip is 4" long and shaped to a blunt cigar profile. The cap and ring seat has a flatted and varnished butternut spacer. The butt cap is stamped "Kusse, Maker" in a cartouche. The rod packs into the original yellow poplin bag with a stiffener and brass topped tube.
