A very nice Walt Carpenter Browntone bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 or #5 line. 3.7 ounces on my scale. Serial #93276. Lawn cast or very very light use at most. Just the faintest start of some hand soiling to the grip. Both tips have the faintest beginning of cosmetic casting cracks to the ferrule wraps, and the high arch HSS snake guides have just a hint of brassing. The action is medium fast. Flamed cane with light nodes done in a three up node pattern. Excellent varnish and the brown main wraps have black edges with an extra band of yellow and purple at the keeper and male ferrules. Perfection style stripper. The rod is pin straight and retains 100% of the original oxidation. The cigar grip is 5 1/2" long and tapers down to a cork seat the last inch of which is a burl walnut. The nickel silver ring and pocket cap are oxidized. The bag is an eggshell color and the brushed aluminum tube has brass hardware and Walt's data sticker (it is a Huntington Mills, PA period rod).
