For sale here is a 3 1/4" fly reel made by Joe Saracione for Tom Morgan Rodsmiths. Right-hand retrieve for 5/6/7 weight lines. Similar to Joe's Deluxe reel but made with polished aluminum rings instead of stainless steel. Delrin sideplates. The reel foot is stamped Saracione with the reel's serial number. The backplate has a nickel silver plate stamped with "Tom Morgan Rodsmiths". The reel is in excellent mechanical condition. Cosmetically, the reel shows use, as shown in the photos. Comes in a fitted leather case by Arne Mason with Tom Morgan's logo stamped on the top. Capacity is DT6+50 yds of 20# micron backing.

Per Mr. Morgan's website:

The drag is a simple preset gear & pawl overrunning check mechanism with enough resistance to provide a tiring drag. Reels like this were always my favorite and a little extra drag can be applied with your thumb on the inside of the spool. It's a perfect size for our #5-, #6-, and #7-weight graphite and fiberglass rods where you need good backing capacity in a relatively light reel of classic design.
