For sale here is an early Scott "G" Model 100-7 10' 7wt 2 pc. graphite fly rod. Serial no. 9113. The rod is in excellent condition. It does show some wear from honest use but was cared for well.
Un-sanded blank, characteristic of Scott rods. Burgundy wraps with white and gray tipping at the winding check, ferrules, and tip-tops. The spigot ferrules remain in excellent condition free of any cracks or other defects. The fit is perfect with a 1/8" gap to allow for wear over time. U-shaped hook keeper with a ring to accommodate larger flies. Western-style grip 7 1/2" in length with moderate soiling and a bit of light ridging. Aluminum up-locking reel seat over a cork spacer with a 3/4" fighting butt. A sliver of the butt looks to have been knocked off at some point and was poorly fixed with what appears to be epoxy. The rod weighs 3.55 oz. The G Rods are known for their terrific action that provides feel and finesse along with strength speed and power. Also, unlike many graphite rods, the G series tend to hold their value. Includes replacement bag and original PowR-Ply San Francisco Tube. Don't miss out on this modern classic!
