Thomas and Thomas Bamboo Fly Rod 9' 3/2 #8

A Thomas and Thomas Salmon model bamboo fly rod, 9', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #8 line. Serial #3749. Impregnated model. 7.1 ounces. Very light use with a very small amount of hand soiling to the grip. Medium to medium slow action. Tan oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. The original owner's name is inked on the cane above the grip. Maroon wraps with no edges and two carbide strippers. The snake guides and tip tops are chrome. Swiss style ferrules with collars on the males. Both the female ferrules have a tiny T&T logo roller stamp. The grip is 7" long turned to a western profile with a hidden pocket cap and an all nickel silver uplocking screwlock. The slide is stamped "Thomas and Thomas, Makers". The mortised walnut spacer is spectacular and varnished smooth. The bottom cap has a nickel silver ferrule for the short fighting butt that's 2 3/4" long including the large red rubber button. The fighting butt stores in a separate compartment at the bottom of the rod tube. The rod packs into a cloth bag and an aluminum tube with a brass collar and top at either end.
