A nice Thomas and Thomas Classic model bamboo fly rod, 8', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 line. Serial #2735. Weighs 4.3 ounces. Medium to medium-fast action. The rod shows modest use with some slight wear to the inner guides. Impregnated cane tempered to a light chestnut color. The main wraps are a transparent yellow or apricot color with extra edges of red, green, and black at the keeper and tip tops. The ferrules are wrapped brown with black edges. The ferrules are a swiss-style with a collar on the males and are polished bright. The grip is 6" long and styled to a heavy cigar which tapers down to the keeper wrap. The reel seat is a mortised, varnished walnut with a downlocking aluminum screwlock. No die stamp. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag and all-aluminum tube.
