A superb Thomas and Thomas Montana model fly rod, 8'6", 3-piece, 2-tips, built for a #6 line. Serial #5361. 6.8 ounces. Near mint condition with the faint impression of a reel foot in the seat varnish and a small amount of brassing to the inner snake guides being the only signs of use. Medium fast action. Mirrored tips. T&T tiger stripe flaming. Three up node pattern. Very light tan main wraps with a slightly darker brown edge and black band at the keeper, ferrules, and tip-tops. Dark brown at the ferrules. Carbide stripper. T&T style swiss ferrules with a collar on the males and they are oxidized with 100% of the oxidation intact. The ferrule fits are perfect and the rod is arrow straight. 6 1/4" western style grip with a hidden pocket cap. All nickel silver uplocking screwlock with a figured, mortised, varnished walnut. The slide is detached and stamped "Thomas and Thomas, Makers". The rod is packed in a tan cloth bag with stiffener and a black paint aluminum tube with brass top and T&T data sticker affixed.
