A superb Thomas and Thomas "Grilse" fly rod, 8'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, built for a #7 line. Serial #5321. 7.6 ounces. Fast DF action. Mint, unused condition. Detached 2 1/2" fighting butt still wrapped in plastic. Large swell with flamed cane with the beginning of the tiger stripe technique. Magnificent varnish, something for all other rodmakers to look up to. Carbide stripper, chrome guides. The wraps are almost transparent with black edges, dark brown at the ferrules. Keeper on wrap flat. Ferrules are swiss with a collar on the males and oxidized. The serial number is lettered on the mid and both tips. Three up node pattern with mirrored tips. The grip is 7" long and done in a western profile with a hidden pocket cap. Perfectly varnished and mortised with an uplocking screw lock done in nickel silver with a detached slide with "Thomas and Thomas, Makers" lettered on the slide. A knurled plug can be pulled out for the fighting butt. The grip has a few bag impressions from the guides pressing into it. Comes packed in a tan bag with a T&T logo and black crackle painted tube with brass, collar, and top. Silver T&T sticker on the tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
