A nice Jennings Moran bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 1-tip, and built for a #5/6 line. Serial "867/3". The rod weighs 4.2 ounces. Made as a one tip rod (the rod bag is only provisioned for one tip) it is in lightly used condition. The grip has been cleaned but is in fine condition overall. Blonde cane with three up nodes. The main wraps are medium brown with dark green edges and a thin band of orange at the keeper. SRMC #10 carbide stripper and chrome snakes. Oil finish rather than varnish. "Made for HRH" is lettered on the shaft. Strong fast action. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a medium blunt cigar profile. The reel seat is a mortised and oiled light walnut with a nickel silver cap and ring. No die stamp on the cap. The rod packs into a green cloth bag with a stiffener and a frost coated aluminum tube with a brass bottom and top (though no collar as the threads have been directly cut into the tube). There is a Jennings/Moran data sticker affixed to the tube.
