A nice Tom Moran bamboo fly rod, 6', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #3 line. Serial # 723/1. Weighs 2.4 ounces on my scale. Lawn cast condition with a hint of brassing to the interior snake guides. Superb varnish and the rod is straight as the day it left the shop. Spiral node pattern with blonde oven tempered cane. Transparent guide wraps with a green and red edge at the keeper and a red band at one tip top and black at the other. The ferrule wraps are brown with black edges. The ferrules are swiss super Z style and are polished bright. The stripper guide is carbide and the guides are black snakes. The grip is 5 1/2" long and shaped to a medium cigar profile. The seat is a cap and ring of polished nickel silver and the cap bears the stamp "T. Moran, Maker" in a cartouche. The rod comes with an olive cloth bag with a stiffener. The frost coated aluminum tube bears Tom's data sticker and the brass top screws directly into the tube with no collar.
