William Olson Sealed Drag Multiplier Reel 3 1/2"

A very nice salmon reel by William Olson of Murray, Utah. 3 1/2" diameter, with an approximate 1 3/8" internal frame width. Sealed disc drag model. Serial #255. Set up for LHW. This reel is near mint condition with just a few small marks here and there, but very clean throughout. Very light champagne anodized frame and spool with black anodized sideplates. The foot and serpentine handle are silver anodized. Nickel silver counterweight. In a nod to the House of Hardy Cascapedia reels Olson's model has 2 nickel silver medallions inset on the crank side plate. One states "William R Olsen, Maker, Murray, Utah" and the other has the reel dimensions, owner's name, serial number (my understanding is that Mr. Olson can punch out the medallion and replace it with one for the new owner). The drag system on this reel adjusts smoothly from very light to very heavy, thanks to the sealed disc system which utilizes carbon on titanium. This reel is a 2:1 multiplier. The reel comes with an Arnie Mason leather bag. A nice opportunity here to grab a reel without the significant waiting time that Mr. Olson has generated for new reel orders.
