A Bogdan gold-colored reel, 3 3/4" in diameter and set up for RHW. This reel appears to be the model 2 salmon, but has had several modifications made along the way. The brake shoes are Micarta, indicating a pre-1963 date of manufacture, but the drag adjuster has ten positions, and the crank, foot, oil port cover, and poacher's knob are all silver. The spool width is 1 3/8". One Bogdan authority we spoke to about this reel has suggested that it may have begun as a 300M (which would have had a 1 5/8" spool width) but was later given a narrower frame, perhaps at the same time receiving the other updates. This reel shows light use with some rash at the bottom of the frame and there is a slight twist to the end of the reel foot (shown above). Designed to hold a #10 line with 200 yards of backing. The drag works beautifully and is mechanically sound. Double action multiplying retrieve. This reel has landed a few salmon and is ready for plenty more.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
