For sale here is a vintage Dingley 3 3/8" Perfect Style Fly Reel made for retailer Westley Richards.
Stamped D4 and 4 throughout. Retailed and stamped on winding plate "Westley Richards and Co Ltd Birmingham". This
excellent+ condition reel is RHW and comes with a nice and strong check with spare spring/pawl from the 1930's. Ball bearing race on the winding plate. Knurled tensioner works perfectly. Brass line guide is spotless. Gear teeth and pawls are still very sharp. Un-filed
original smooth brass reel foot with two screws. Great condition, slightly crazed ebonite handle spins freely. The reel has no wobble or end play. Reel foot is 2 3/4" long. No cracks/chips or prior repairs. Majority of original leading remaining. This is one super-nice reel that represents the fine craftsmanship Mr. Dingley is known for.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
