An EC Powell bamboo fly rod, 9', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 or #6 weight. Medium to slow action. The rod weighs 4.9 ounces on my scale. Possibly refinished but I can't tell for certain. The bottom snake on the mid has been re-wrapped. The rod is very straight and the ferrule fits are good. Two opposed node pattern and a patent date inked on the rod shaft. Agate stripping guide and black HSS snakes. The wraps are brown. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a modified half wells style that has some erosion from cleaning. There is a hidden pocket cap for the uplocking screwlock reel seat. "EC Powell, Maker, Marysville CA" is stamped in a cartouche on the seat, and the current owner relayed to me that the spacer was replaced by Glenn Brackett. The rod packs into an olive cloth bag and a non-original aluminum tube.
