A nice Ed Fody bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, built for a #5 line. 4.2 ounces. 1996 manufacture date. Medium full flexing action. Shows modest use. Some hand soiling to the grip, and some minor ferrule wrap cracks, though there is very little wear to the bronze guides. There is a little bit of upward bend in the upper mid section. Varnished dark flame cane with nodes set in a spiral. The rod is wrapped in dark brown with orange, black, and orange edges at the keeper and male ferrules. Large agate stripper and bronze guides. The rod is outfitted with truncated swiss ferrules which are oxidized. There is a little bit of seam stippling here and there but nothing open. "Fody 37 1/2 -5" is lettered 2 flats left and "1996" one flat left (I'm not sure what 37 1/2 refers to here other than the model number, as it is not the section length). The grip is 6" long and styles to a heavy cigar profile. The cap and ring seat wood looks like it might be varnished pipe briar and the hardware has about 30% loss of the original oxidation. No ferrules plugs with this rod. The rod bag is a gray flannel. The rod tube is an all aluminum tube with "Ed Fody, hand planed, Tonkin cane fly rods" sticker fixed just under the collar.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

Other Terms
- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
