For sale here is a vintage Fenwick - Model FF75-4 7'6" 5-6wt fiberglass fly rod with a marked weight of 3 1/2 oz. Serial no. K60286. The rod is in excellent, lightly fished condition. This rod is from the first generation of "Feralite" rods (1963-1971). The patented tip over butt ferrule was to become the industry standard and can still be seen on most graphite rods today. The rod features a chestnut-colored glass blank. The wraps are a matching chestnut color with white tipping. The winding check features a double spiral pattern made of braided chestnut and white thread. Bright guides. Sleeve-over ferrules, all sections fit together tightly and securely. The script and decals on the rod remain clean, bold, and unaltered. U-shaped hook-keeper. Brown hard rubber winding check. Full wells grip. The cork is moderately soiled but void of any dents, hook gouges, etc... Bronze and gold anodized aluminum down-locking reel seat. The Fenwick "Eagle" logo is stamped into the reel seat spacer. The butt cap has been lost at some point. This is not apparent till you turn the rod upside down. The rod weighs a light 3.15 oz. The action is wonderful; medium-fast with a stout butt and a delicate tip.
Rod includes original bag and tube with the label although the cap has been lost. Don't miss out on this vintage Fenwick ready for the water.
