A very nice Hardy Brass Bronzed Platewind reel, 4" in diameter which favors RHW. Made from the 1880's this size was discontinued in 1910 and was second in price only to Hardy's ebonite and German silver offering. A very fine example of this model, this reel has normal cosmetic wear and patina that you'd expect of a reel this age, but is in superb condition with a straight foot, a pleasing click and no defects that I could find. No lightweight, this reel clocks in at 25.3 ounces, and comes in a fine Hardy block case that is also in excellent condition for its age. A nice package here for a lover of early Hardy reels.
