For sale here is a Hardy Palakona "CC de France" 8' 5wt bamboo fly rod made in April of 1967. The rod had one tip, as was typical with Hardy rods. Blonde cane, reverse twist snake guides, agate stripper, oxidized brass ferrules, small cigar grip, bright aluminum cap and ring, bright red silks that contrast beautifully with the blonde cane. "G.R. STOCKS" written just below the female ferrule. The rod is in very good overall condition with the exception of a crude varnish touch up repair to the snake guide on the butt section and the original tip-top appears to have been replaced at some point. There is no evidence of breakage or repair but the silks are a shade lighter than the original wraps. Medium action. All sections are full-length and straight. Comes with its original labeled bag and a replacement Champion tube. An excellent and very classic all-around trout rod for the money. Serial number D/S. Ferrule size 14/64. Rod weighs 3.95 oz.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
