For sale here is a Hardy Marvel bamboo fly rod - 7' 3/1 for a 3 weight line. Near mint condition. Originally made as a one-tip rod. Extra tips were optional and cost $1000. The serial number is 2LB208817, which I believe corresponds to a build date of November 1999.

Aluminum slide band over cork spacer, dark green silk wraps with gold edges, bright guides and tip tops, oxidized nickel silver ferrules, ferrule plugs (replacements), agate stripper guide, hook keeper. The rod and original four compartment bag is housed in a Hardy rod tube. The rod has a powerful, full working action, yet is light and delicate with fine tippets.
