For sale here is a Heddon - #35 Peerless 8' 5wt 3/2 bamboo rod - 1 3/4 F. The rod is in very good+ restored condition. The restoration was performed by Fred Kretchman. The original writing on the rod couldn't be saved. There are small chips and scrapes in the varnish throughout the rod. The hood on the reel seat is a bit loose, this does not hinder use though. Lastly, there are fishing sets in both tips.
The rod is tempered to a dark pumpkin color with golden copper colored wraps and black tipping. Blued guides and ferrules. The rod features a handsome, dramatically swelled butt. Unique, u-shaped hook-keeper. The reverse half-wells grip is slightly ridged. Up-locking, screw lock reel seat with a wood spacer and classic bakelite screw thread and butt cap. There is some wear to the black paint on the seat and also slight wear to the butt cap. The ferrule fit is excellent. Includes wooden ferrule plugs made by Kretchman. The rod weighs 4 1/4 oz. The action is a very smooth medium-fast. Quite a versatile rod. Includes replacement satin bag and original tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
