An HL Leonard bamboo fly rod, 9', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels to me like a #6 or a #7. 5.7 ounces. A pre-fire rod that's been later refinished. Nice varnish, red wraps, agate stripper. The step ferrules are polished bright and the butt female has the patent date. The grip is 6" long and has a bit of ridging. The reel seat is an aluminum square thread downlocking style with a butternut wood spacer and a nickel silver pocket cap. The pocket cap is stamped "The Leonard Rod, HL Leonard Rod co, Makers" in a cartouche and underneath "Reg US Pat Off". The green poplin bag appears to be original but has no hang tag. The aluminum tube has the older style large brass collar with the owner's name engraved and "9ft 5 5/8 oz" on top.
