Here we have a 16’0” double handed graphite Spey rod made by Hoagy Carmichael from a Sage blank. He fished it on the Gaula in Norway, and the Grand Cascapedia in Canada. He made all of the locking reel seat hardware, with a walnut spacer, which has the threaded Delrin insert in the locking nut for a smooth and solid grip on the reel tang. It has a nice agate striping guide on the butt section as well. Hoagy reports that this rod will unload a #10 DTF line to the backing with ease. There are no condition issues with this rod, and it is in as-made condition.
