A nice Homer Jennings bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, built for a #4 or #5 line. Serial #390. 4 ounces. Used but in excellent almost near mint condition. There is some slight hand soiling to the grip which is the only real sign of use I could find. The rod action is on the faster side of medium. Blonde oven tempered cane done in a three up node pattern. Excellent cane work evidenced by the very small nodes and the lack of any glue seams anywhere. The varnish on all of Homer's rods stand out from the crowd and this is no exception. The main wraps are apricot/yellow with a tiny edge of light red and brown at the ferrules with an edge of yellow and red. The rod is lettered "22-3-95". The stripper is carbide, the guides snake, and the tip-tops are chrome. The swiss ferrules are polished bright as well as the other hardware. The grip is 6" long in a blunt cigar profile that tapers up toward the front. A hidden pocket cap and mortised uplocking reel seat with a perfect coat of varnish finish the rod. The rod bag is tan and the rod tube is a black anodized aluminum with brass fittings.
