A nice G.H. Howells rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, serial #3886. This rod weighs 3 3/8 oz, is hollow-built, and designed to throw a #6 line. Built for Anglers All. Half wells grip tapering to an all cork seat with polished aluminum ring and pocket cap. Good overall condition though there are some signs of use, 2 or 3 varnish chips on the tips and several on the butt as well. There is also a 1 1/2" section of the butt where varnish has been flowed in to cover a scrape. Ferrules are tight and sections are straight. Pretty varnish with brown wraps with yellow edges. Chrome guides. Feels a bit quicker than the usual Howells to me.Red cloth bag, aluminum tube with the original Howells sticker. This rod was built in 1971.
