For sale here is a Gary Howells 8'6 5wt 2/2 bamboo rod with a labeled weight of 4.0 oz. Serial no. 4623. The rod is in excellent++ original condition. All sections are full length and straight. Stunning dark pumpkin-toned varnished cane finish. Copper colored silks with gold trim. Ring hook-keeper. Aluminum up-locking reel seat with a fine wood spacer. There are some minor wear marks on the aluminum barrel of the reel seat. Ferrule fit is excellent. Classic Howells action on the medium side of medium fast with thin tips well suited for dry fly fishing. Actual weight is 4.60 oz. Original bag and labeled tube.
