For sale here is a Jenkins Model GA803 bamboo rod from the bench of Charlie and Steve Jenkins. The rod is in unfished condition, only lawn cast. 8 feet, 3/2 format for a 5 weight line. Weighs 4 3/8 oz. Matched tips. Darkly oxidized down-locking cap and ring reel seat. Clear caramel thread wraps. Oxidized nickel silver ferrules and guides. The ferrules are size 11/64 and 15/64. Metal ferrule plugs. The butt cap is engraved "The Jenkins Rod". All sections are full length and straight. Includes original bag and original labeled aluminum tube.The rod has a very pleasant medium fast dry fly action.

This rod was the first Model GA803 ever made. Three piece Jenkins rods in general are almost impossible to find.
