A Kanjiro Nakao bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #4 line. 3.4 ounces. #1706-864. Full flexing action. The rod is new and unused. The node spacing appears to be spiral though some of the nodes are spaced fairly close together. There is also an open seam adjacent to a node in the butt section. The wraps are light olive with a darker green edge, and the intermediates are transparent. The guides are snake brand. The ferrules are super Z style. The grip is a slimmed down half wells 6" long with a slight swell a the heel. The seat is a downlocking slide band of a stabilized burl and the hardware somewhat resembles that found on Winston rods (the tube is also reminiscent of Winstons). The varnish finish on the rod is very light. The rod could use a little straightening and there is a slight twist in the tips that may wish to be addressed as well. The rod packs into a a handsome print bag and aluminum tube.
