For sale here is a very rare highly desired LAW traveling vise made by Lawrence Waldron. The vise remains in mint condition. This is the ultimate travel vise. The vise sits in a custom box which also serves as the pedestal. The beautiful rosewood box measures 6 7/8" x 4 1/4" x 1 1/2". The latch is made of brass and stainless steel. The hinges are brass and buttery smooth. Either side of the interior is lined with green felt to serve as a place to hold hooks and other items. The kit includes the vise (jaws), an hex wrench for tightening the various components, a 2" extension, and an alternate screw-in mount. A very simple set-up, a hallmark of all LAW vises. The box is small enough to fit in one's fishing vest or bag and the screw mount could easily be fixed to a branch or log for streamside tying. This box comes with a fleece lines Cordura case with the LAW label embroidered on the front. There is also a small pocket for materials.
Lawrence Waldron cut his teeth as a precision machinist in the U.K. He also made bamboo rod building supplies and reels at one time. All of his products were made to order and nearly always involved a waiting list. Waldron has ceased making vises for several years now.
