For sale here is a H.L. Leonard Hunt Model 41-5 bamboo rod -- 8 1/2' 2/2 5wt. Serial no. 81276. The rod remains in original near mint condition with some very light wear around the butt cap.
The rod featured beautiful moderately tempered cane with bright red wraps and blued hardware throughout. The tips are numbered for convenience. Handsome swelled butt. Nickel silver checks. Cigar grip measuring 6" in length with the original plastic still in place. Classic cap and ring reel seat over a mortised maple spacer. The step-down ferrules have a perfect fit. The rod weighs in at 4.60 oz. The action is a wonderful medium-fast dry-fly with plenty of authority thanks in part to the swelled butt. The thin tips allow for considerable finesse and delicacy.
Includes the original bag with leather tab and tube with fine brass fittings.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
