For sale here is a HL Leonard Model 39 bamboo rod -- 7 1/2 feet, 2/2 for a 5wt line. Excellent plus condition. Serial #1491 from the early 1970s. All sections are full length and straight. Cigar grip, all cork reel seat with pocketed cap and ring. Red silk wraps with green edging at the keeper and ferrules. Includes original yellow bag with wooden stiffener and original aluminum tube with brass fittings. The rod weighs 3 3/8 oz. Ferrule size is 12/64. Classic medium Leonard action.
