For sale here is an H.L. Leonard Hunt Model 50-5 bamboo rod -- 8 feet 3/2 5wt. Serial no. 82102. Made in 1982 just after Tom Maxwell's tenure and clearly influenced by him. The rod is in near mint condition. All sections are full length and straight. Moderately tempered cane with transparent deep red wraps with full intermediates. Blued guides with a ruby colored agate stripper. The tip sections are numbered. Mildly swelled butt. Cigar grip 6" in length. Elegant cap and ring reel seat over a mortised tiger maple spacer. There is one very small dent in the spacer, likely the way it came from the factory. The ferrules are size 10/64 and 16/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 4 3/8 oz. The action is medium-fast. Original bag and tube.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
