For sale here is an H.L. Leonard Model 65 bamboo rod -- 7'6" 2/2 5wt. The rod is in excellent original condition. All sections are full length and straight though it does have clicking ferrules with both tips. This appears to be a metal to metal fitting problem and shouldn't require the ferrules to be reset.
Nice straw tone cane finish with bright red wraps. Deeply blued guides. Bronzed ring hook keeper although it appears to be stuck in the varnish. Cigar/Garrison-style grip 5 1/2" in length with only the lightest of soiling. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a butternut spacer and a nickel silver butt cap. The step-down ferrules are size 13/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 3.75 oz. The action is medium-fast. Includes the original bag with hang tag intact and the original tube with brass fittings.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt.
