A HL Leonard model 39L bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2-piece, 2-tips, built for a #4 line. Serial #3330. Weighs 3.0 ounces. Mint uncast condition. Medium to medium-slow action. Wheatstraw color cane done in a three up node pattern. The wraps are brown at the keeper and ferrules with yellow and brown edges and yellow main wraps on all guides and brown edges. Ceramic stripping guide, with chrome snakes and tip tops. The step ferrules are polished and come with the original ferrule plug. The grip is 5" long and is turned to a large blunt cigar profile. The seat is all cork with a nickel silver ring and nickel silver pocket cap bearing the stamp "The Leonard Rod, HL Leonard Rod Co, Makers". The rod packs into the original tan bag with leather pull tab and aluminum tube with the data sticker 100% intact. Model 39L's are pretty few and far between and this is as nice an example as you could wish for.
