A nice Leonard Duracane model 704 bamboo fly rod, 7', 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial #2674 which dates the rod to 1975. 2.8 ounces. Medium action. Very moderate use with some grip soiling, a bit of brassing to the inner snake guides. Impregnated cane done in a three up node pattern. Brown main wraps and black edges. Ceramic stripper and black snakes and tip tops. The step ferrules are oxidized. The grip is 5" long and turned to a blunt cigar with the weight forward. The reel seat is all cork with an oxidized ring and nickel silver pocket cap. The stamp reads "HLL, HL Leonard Rod Co, Makers" and is oxidized. Tan color bag with a stiffener. The tube is brushed aluminum with brass fittings (with some oxidation to what I suspect was salt air) and the Leonard data sticker.
