A Mario Wojnicki 245GF bamboo fly rod, 8', 3-piece, 2 tips, built for what feels like a #5. Pentagonal design with fiberglass ferrules. Good used condition with some minor soiling to the grip. One of the quick feeling actions from Mario. Flamed cane. Red wraps with black edges at the keeper and tip tops, and black wraps at the ferrules with red edges. Carbide stripper and chrome guides. Excellent varnish finish. 6 3/4" grip in a variation of full wells. From a large flare at the front it tapers down and swells again in the middle, then tapers down again with a slight flare at the heel of the grip where there is a hidden pocket cap. The reel seat is a lovely walnut (I think) that's nicely varnished and built to function as an upsliding ring and hidden pocket cap. A cork and wood bottom cap prevents the ring from falling off. The rod packs into a tan cloth bag with tie strings. The aluminum tube is stamped on the brass top "245GF".
