The rod features a staggered ferrule construction. The butt section is 3 1/8" shorter than the tip section designed to create a specific action.
The rod features an unsanded blank with dark teal wraps and bright guides. U-shaped hook keeper. Ceramic stripping guide. Sleeve over ferrules with a nice and tight fit as it should be. The Western-style grip measures 7 1/2" in length with mild soiling. Bright aluminum up-locking reel seat over a walnut spacer. The action is on the medium side of medium-fast by today's graphite standards. The rod is capable of considerable finesse and accuracy while still providing strength and power. Though marked as a 7 weight a 6 weight line will suit this rod better. Perfect for streamers, big bushy flies, and hopper-dropper set-ups.
