For sale here is a beautiful impregnated Orvis Wes Jordan 8' 2/2 6wt bamboo rod. Serial no. 85964, made in 1982. The rod is in original near mint condition. All sections are full length with slight upward sets in the tips.
The rod features darker straw colored cane with cinnamon wraps. The script remains as clean and bold as the day it was written. Along with the rod information, the original owner's name is written. There is a fine scratch in the varnish over the script, this should be easily polished out. The modified cigar-style grip is 6 1/2" in length with only the lightest of handling marks. The grip features a thumb and a palm indentation. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a handsome Walnut spacer. The original owner's initials are stamped into the bottom of the butt cap. The blued ferrules are size 13/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 4.60 oz. The rod is marked as a 7-weight though with most Orvis rods a line size down is best. This rod is best suited for a 6 weight line. The action is medium fast. A great balance of power and finesse. Includes the original bag and fine leather tube. The fittings and straps on the tube remain in excellent condition free of tears etc.

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
