For sale here is a E.F. Payne Model 208 9′ 3pc light dry fly bamboo rod for a #6 line. All appears original. Full-length sections with original bag and tube with nice Payne label. This rod has an uplocking screw-lock reel seat with Payne's standard Spanish cedar spacer. Wraps are chestnut brown with red tipping. Red agate stripping guide. Grip is soiled from honest use. As shown in the photos, there is a "145" scratched into the bottom of the butt cap. Reel seat components and spacer in excellent condition. Bluing on the ferrules shows wear. All wraps structurally sound but a few are displaying slight fraying. Varnish still excellent. 10/16 ferrules. 5 1/4 oz. 6" grip. Good ferrule fit. This rod is ready to fish again and does not require any repairs.
