A remarkable E.F. Payne 9' #7 3pc light salmon rod in mint condition. Going over it carefully I was stunned at the phenomenal condition this rod is in, as it appears to have only been lawn cast. The finish is perfect with no blemishes and the wraps show no signs of cracking. I've seen very few Paynes like this come to market! The reelseat has Payne's spanish cedar spacer with an up-locking screw lock boasting the "sold by Abercrombie and Fitch"stamp. The rod has brown silk wraps with red edges and a perfection stripper. It also has the original Payne ferrule plugs which I've often admired, as well as the fighting butt and nickel-silver plug for the seat with "23" stamped in the center of the target. Comes with the original brass-topped aluminum tube with tan canvass overbag with fighting butt pocket. The interior rodbag is also original and includes the tag with the rod's specifications. Truly a rare beauty.
Also please note that this rod comes to me from a friend who suffered severe losses during the recent flooding in Vermont. We have reduced our fees in order to help him get back on his feet.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
