For sale here is a Russ Peak 6'6" 2 1/2 oz. three-piece fiberglass fly/spin rod. Serial no. 15000-32LS made in 1956. The rod is in excellent condition. The rod consists of a two-piece rod section with the third piece being the detachable grip. Sanded, mahogany colored fiberglass blank with matching wraps and two bands of fine gold tipping. There is a wrap at the 20" mark measured from the butt end of the grip. The black script remains clean and bold. The original owner's name is written along with the rod information. Bright guides. Swiss-style, bright nickel silver ferrules. The fit is excellent. White witness marks for easy alignment. The rod includes ferrules plugs for the female ferrules and cork lined aluminum caps for the male ferrules. U-shaped hook-keeper. The grip measures 10 1/2" in length with a dual aluminum band reel seat. The actual weight of the rod is 2.45 oz. The action is fast with the backbone needed for casting lures accurately and at a distance. The fiberglass allows for more feel than a graphite rod would. This is a great all around spinning rod for everything from ponds to docks, to streams. Ideal in size for trout, panfish, and even small bass. Includes original bag and tube with label and brass fittings. Don't miss out on this very scarce Russ Peak rod!
