Phillipson - Master 6'6 5-6wt Fiberglass Fly Rod

For sale here is a Phillipson "Master" - Model MF66 - 6'6" 5-6wt 2 pc. fiberglass rod. The rod is in near mint+ condition. The rod features a classic, mustard yellow blank with variegated green and rust colored wraps. Bright guides. U-shaped hook-keeper. The script on the rod remains fully intact and free of defects. Nickel silver ferrules, the fit is perfect. Ritz-style grip with only minor signs of handling as mentioned above. Black aluminum down-locking reel seat in excellent condition. The rod is marked as a 6wt but feels more like a 5wt in my hands; a 4wt is questionable but not completely unreasonable. The action is classic glass but a bit faster than most glass rods of this era. Rod includes original Phillipson labeled plastic rod sleeve and original cardboard tube with gold Phillipson label. This is a wonderful example of a 1970's Phillipson glass rod perfect for tight brushy streams. Don't miss out!
