For sale here is a Phillipson impregnated bamboo rod - Peerless "5" Dry Fly Special - 8'6" 3/2 for a 6wt line. Dark impregnated cane with green wraps. Cigar cork grip with Phillipson bronze anodized aluminum reel seat. The nickel silver ferrules are size 12/64 and 18/64 and fit together nicely. Excellent condition overall. One tip is short by 3 1/2 inches. Strong medium fast action with a lot of backbone. The rod weighs 5 1/8 oz. Ferrules are 18/64 and 12/64. Comes with original bag and tube. A great Western rod capable of throwing big nasties and handling big fish, yet it also presents small dries very effectively!
