For sale here is a John Pickard Model 795 PE bamboo rod, his rendition of the classic Paul Young Para 14 taper. 7'9, 2/2, for a 5 weight line. Rod is in excellent overall condition. All sections are full length and have not been repaired. This rod is made from pre-embargo cane retrieved directly from the Paul Young rod shop. Half wells grip, blued cap and ring seat over cork, beautifully flamed cane, chocolate brown silks and blued ferrules. The rod has a strong medium fast parabolic action and will cast a mile as Paul Young rods in general will. A great rod for medium to big water, and big trout.The rod weighs 4 1/8 oz. Comes with original bag and tube.
