A HS Pinky Gillum bamboo fly rod, 9', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #6 or #7 line. The rod weighs 5.4 ounces on my scale. Serial #556. Fast action. Modestly used original condition with some cosmetic casting cracks at the ferrule wraps. There is a little bit of bag imprint on the butt and mid, and a couple of very minor varnish chips on the butt. The step ferrules have 98% of their original oxidation and resemble those made at the Payne shop. The cane has been flamed with somewhat lighter nodes and the strips are glued with resorcinol glue. Brown main wraps with yellow edges. Small perfection stripper and black high arch snake guides. The 6 1/2" long cigar grip exhibits some ridging. The reel seat is a downlocking screwlock and pocket cap of Gillum's own make and what looks like a curly Spanish cedar insert. "HS Gillum 'Custom Built'" is inked on the rod shaft. The rod comes with the original bag and original tube with brass fittings and the Gillum sticker with some clear tape over it. Gillums like this rarely come to market these days!

- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
