R.L. Winston-- Boron III Plus 9' 11wt Graphite Fly Rod - 4 piece

For sale here is a R.L. Winston Boron III Plus 9' 11wt fly rod in a 4 piece configuration. Serial #202570. The rod is in mint unfished condition. The rod features a dark green sanded blank with matching wraps and red tipping at the winding check and signature wrap. Halfway between the grip and stripping guide is the Winston logo with metallic silver tipping on either side. Bright guides. All ferrules fit together tightly and securely. Sculpted nickel silver winding check. Full wells grip made of the finest quality cork. Green aluminum up-locking reel seat. The seat features two locking rings to insure nothing comes loose. On the spacer, "R.L. Winston Rod Co." is printed handsomely in white cursive. The fighting butt is 2 1/2" in length, the butt end is composite cork for greater durability. This would make a great billfish or tarpon rod. The action is very fast for punching big flies through high winds and exceptional accuracy. The rod weighs 5.20 oz. Rod comes with original embroidered bag and green aluminum Winston tube with brass fittings.
