A nice RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tips, and built for a #4 or #5 line. Serial #1314. The rod weighs 4.2 ounces. Medium slowish action. San Francisco era rod. Tan color cane done in a three up node pattern. The original owner's name is inked on the shaft. The rod does not appear to have seen much use. The grip is clean as a whistle. The wraps are the light tan putty color with maroon edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. Carbide stripping guide and chrome snakes. The ferrules have the trademark overwraps. The grip is 6" and shaped to a full wells profile. The seat is a downlocking screwlock with an aluminum nut and pocket cap. The rod packs into a red cloth bag and the tube has the original logo sticker and protective cloth overbag.
