A nice RK Bolt bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial number 1508. The rod weighs 3.3 ounces on my scale. Mint condition. Medium semi full flexing action. The cane is oven tempered just to the darker side of wheatstraw. the nodes are done in two-opposed fashion and the main wraps are medium brown with yellow edges and a red band only at the keeper wrap. The varnish is flawless. The nickel silver ferrules are overwrapped and the welts have a neat tiny "RK Bolt" roller die stamp on them. The stripper is carbide and the snake guide are chrome. The grip is 5 1/2" and shaped to a Western profile. The all cork seat is mortised with an aluminum slide band and formed pocket cap. The pocket cap is stamped "RK Bolt, Maker" and the bottom cap is nicely radiused. The rod comes with cork and brass ferrule plugs and packs into a red cloth bag. The gray frost coated large size rod tube has a gold anodized collar and top with Robert's data sheet fixed to the tube. The tube also has a blue cloth overbag.
