An extremely rare Joe Saracione Edward Vom Hofe Perfection #2 fly reel, 2 3/4" and set up for LHW. Mint unused condition. This reel came from a limited edition set of Edward vom Hofe style reels that Joe made in the 1990's. The first was to be fifty 1/0 Tobique reels, followed by fifty #2 Perfection reels. These were all pre-sold out and serial numbers were chosen by the purchasers. They were made in sequence of order date so the serial numbers were not made in sequence. Well as things happen, Joe only made twenty of the 1/0 reels and then only eight of the No. 2 reels, of which this is one. The serial number "18" is found stamped on the underside of the foot crossbar along with the size "2". Bench-made, these reel were flawless reproductions of the originals and made of hard rubber and nickel silver. They have all of the features of the original Perfections including the handsome arrowhead drag adjuster with the red indicator dots. The only difference from the originals lies in the oil port cover which of course carries Joe's maker's mark. These reels were painstaking and time consuming to make, and they are perhaps the pinnacle of Joe's reelmaking skill. Each comes with a hard leather case embossed with "Saracione" and the model number on the cover. You won't find a nicer reel.

Shipping Information
- We ship at cost to the buyer and in the majority of cases do so via UPS with full insurance and signature. There are cheaper options but our experience has been that you get what you pay for and that it's not worth taking risks when shipping what are often one-of-a-kind items. Your shipping estimate will be calculated at checkout and if you have any questions please contact us. Please note the buyers are responsible for any applicable import duties or fees that may levied. Due to the importance of packing items carefully please allow up to two weeks for arrival (depending on how busy we are) though we certainly do our best to get items to you as expeditiously as possible.

- Unless otherwise noted, all items come with a 3-day inspection period during which they can be returned to us for a full refund (provided that they are in the same condition in which they left our shop). Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If an item is returned, we will issue a refund within 10 days upon receipt. Refunds will be either administered by providing a check or, when possible, by canceling a credit card purchase.
