For sale here is a St. George style 3 1/2" fly reel stamped JS Sharpe Ltd. Aberdeen. This excellent condition reel is RHW and retains nearly much of its original leading. Bronze or copper circular line guard. 2 screw spool latch. Brass rim-mounted tension adjuster. Stamped 6 on the spool, frame and lineguard rivet arm. Gear teeth and pawl still very sharp. Un-filed original smooth brass reel foot with two screws. Great condition ebonite handle and it spins freely. Nice tight reel and very good spring tension. No cracks or prior repairs. The reel weighs 8 1/4 oz. and the spool width is 7/8". The reel foot length is 2.5".
